Hi, I'm Rachel!
I’m the founder and face behind Hometown Social Co.
My love for storytelling started through photography. What I loved most wasn’t just taking the picture—it was getting to know the people behind it, capturing what made them them, and telling their story in a way that felt true to who they were.
Over time, I realized I wanted to do the same thing for businesses.
Hometown Social Co. grew from that love for storytelling, along with a love for small businesses and the communities that support them. Now, I get to bring photography, creativity, and marketing together to help businesses share what makes them worth knowing.
I’m a Tarleton State University graduate with a degree in Agricultural Communications, which gave me the chance to bring together so many things I already loved—writing, photography, design, communication, and marketing.
Growing up, I always said I was going to move away after college. No one really believed me, and apparently they knew me pretty well, because not long after graduating, I ended up right back
in Freestone County.
Coming home didn’t mean dreaming any smaller.
Some of the biggest dreamers and hardest workers I know are building businesses, raising families, taking chances, and creating something from nothing in places most people have probably never heard of.

Right Where I’m Meant to Be

I’m pretty content with the simple things.
Slow mornings with a good cup of coffee, the people I love, porch sunsets, checking the cows, our dogs, random trips, and taking pictures along the way.
This place has shaped a big part of who I am, what I value, and eventually, the kind of business I wanted to build.
So, Why “Hometown?”
When it came time to give this business a name, I wanted it to mean something—
and “Hometown” just felt right.
To me, hometown is about connection. It’s knowing the people behind the business, how they got started, what matters to them, and the story that makes what they’re building worth talking about.
That’s how I want HTSC to feel, too. Whether your business is right down the road, somewhere else in Texas, or much farther from home, I want to know the people behind it, understand what makes it yours, and help tell your story in a way that actually feels like you.
